Finding Inspiration.

As I’m looking at tea parties for my final major project, I’m also taking inspiration from Alice in wonderlands mad hatters tea party. I was given a book named “Everything Alice” which was a craft book which showed you alternative ways of creating exciting pieces reflecting the theme.

After looking through the book I found great inspirations from the mobile, cushion and embroidery hoop.

I like the mobile as it’s something I could imagine at a Childs tea party which is also a factor I’m looking at. I find the cushion interesting as it’s like an envelope which could be seen as an invitation if I could some way develop this to open up like an invitation I think that would be unique idea. The embroidery hoops have to be my favourite idea out of the book; I love how something used within textiles can be used as a frame to make the pieces of fabric appear to have been placed onto a canvas.

I’m really interested in furthering and developing these ideas in my project to see if I can create something as effective or even better.
