This
is all my final pieces put together as the installation piece. I am so proud of
the outcome; it really is everything I hoped for and more. All the colours
work brilliantly together and it reflects my entire theme perfectly.

Final Table Cloth
This is my final table cloth, I’m really
happy with how this turned out, to create this I printed 3 meters of cotton
which I then cut in half and then sewed it together as it wasn’t wide enough. I
got help printing this as it was a very large screen. Even though this print wasn’t
designed to be a repeat it seems to flow seamlessly which really surprised me.
The colours used are beautiful and the tea party print is very faint which is
perfect as it doesn’t distract from the main point of attention, I really hope
it looks as effective with my entire installation piece put together.
Final Runner.
For my final set up I decided to create a
runner which will go on top of my table cloth. I decided to do it double sided
one side with my aztea devore print dyed with pink MX5B and on the other I used
cotton printed with pink 5BTL and purple 2BTL. To connect them both I over locked
the sides together.
This runner is exactly what I was wanting
although from far away you can’t see the devore print but once close enough you
can see the detail of the print.
The print on the cotton didn’t work out as
well as I had hoped as the screen moved whilst printing so parts looked over
layered which isn’t what I was hoping for.
Final Bunting
For my final bunting I made 2X 2 meters of
bunting. Some of the flags I left plain colour and the others I left as a
simple print and the purple I quilted. For the union jack I used a heat transferred
my sponged union jack. I really love this as I wanted to keep it quite simple
as my table set up is really busy so I didn’t want it to be too much with the
bunting.
Final Felt Pieces.
Here is my final pieces of sculpted felt, all
done using the needle felting technique.
I have made 3 sandwiches, 5 cupcakes, 5 tea
cups and 1 tea pot.
I feel all the colours are beautiful and they
all fit together perfectly. I’m ever so happy with how successful these have
turned out. I tried to make to make them all slightly different sizes and
shapes so that each one would stand for their own reasons. I was worried I wouldn’t
have enough time to create them all, but thankfully all were completed on time
to a high standard.
Final Place settings.
For my final Place settings I was wanting to
create 6 but when being realistic about the size of the table is be able to use
6 wouldn’t be able to fit so I chose my favourite 4. I added wadding in-between
all to make them stand from the table and look like real place settings.
